Good Bye Thymer...

Long time without posting anything…I’m suffering of designers block and, instead of keep posting, I’m waiting for some time to finish my personal websites design…The problem is that Time is late for his appointment with me, and I’m sitting in the procrastination lounge reading blank pages magazines. It was always like that with me…instead of writing the story, I start designing the cover, instead of posting, I have to design the most spectacular blog first. ;) Well. I Stopped using Thymer, a time management online tool. The reason why? They start charging for the service and the free account is a bitter sweet downgrade. For exemple, I used to have 8 projects and the free account gives you only 4. OK, it’s not that expensive to have a basic account, but I’m in a “cut expenses” phase. Well, good bye Thymer, welcome back Excel ;) Thymer was my hope to be more productive, but I learned after all that productivity comes within, and not from using effective tools. Right? ;)

Sometimes, for me, being a science fiction fan is a lonely job…

Sometimes, for me, being a science fiction fan is a lonely job…If you have enough science fiction fans as friends, it should be a blast, but that’s not my case…I got my fair share of friends who like science fiction, but they are more like Internet friends than actual friends that you bump at in the office…
”Hey, did you saw Fringe’s last episode yesterday?”
“Yes man, it was awesome…that part on the elevator…”
No, I don’t have this…but I have my blog to express my wonder for these sci-fi moments when for the first time, we see a TV show exploring so amazingly and original realms and themes. Yes, I’m a Fringe fan…I’m a fan of the cast (Yes, Pacey was my favorite Dawson’s Creek character), I’m fan of the story line, the mythology, the effects, the direction…I’m not thrilled about Olivia, but she do their job well…Dr. Bishop is perfect by the way…
So that’s it…I really enjoyed the last episode, it was extraordinary. I’m praying for Fringe to escape Heroes second season fail…If they keep the pace, Fringe will became as iconic as X Files…Imagine a Future movie about interdimensional wars? Wow…

Am I interesting enough to be followed? Should I make it interesting? I`m a fiction writer full of ideas.

I had a time traveler blog once, traveled to medieval Scotland to help burn some witches and collect past treasures to sell at E-bay. I got a paranoid demigod blog, not exactly a demigod, more like a collective entity torn apart from his sane counterpart, someone that could travel inside pictures…now I realized it was more interesting if he could travel using books…more like a storytelling entity, trying to escape from it Nemesis, the image storyteller, Holywood…I almost had a werewolf blog, from a werewolf trained soldier from a future transformed by a strange plague and fighting ancient Egyptian animal gods.  I almost had a comic character blog, a 24/7 internet connected zombie,  living with an Italian rat, a hacker cockroach, a blues singing bird and a demonic possessed bacteria. I have stories and magic beans that never grew to the skies. Should a pursue more beans? Should I confine myself in the reality of the real world? I`m not interesting enough, unless I make it interesting. I will start losing some weight. Would it be interesting watching people faces when I get thinner. I will get more beans, and plant then using iron earth  and chrome water. Then, I will wait for the silver skyscrapers to raise and  torn the sky.

A little help from friendly apps... - New post!

Well, It`s late at night. I start writing again, thanks mostly for some tools there are helping me organize my projects. The first one isThymer, from a company called Stunf, that I`ve been using for the last two weeks as a beta tester. It`s a very simple and user friendly online (and free) project managment/task planner tool . I`m managing all my projects and work tasks with it, and with the general overview I got, of all the things that I wanna do, I decided which stories I wanna tell first. The first one will be called “Return to green”and will be a science-fiction short story about changing things in a time and space scale. The second tool is a writing tool called yWrite, created bySimon Haynes, a programmer and science-fiction writer. It`s a fascinating tool that really helped me start writing this new short-story, and it`s also free. So here I am trying to keep the pace with some extra help from this great applications, and getting on with my ideas, projects and goals. Posted via email from GBOZ.blog at Posterous  | Comment »

Fringe and thoughts about cold weather and dreams - Silver skyscrapers and green forests!

Fringe is my favorite TV series so far. Just discovered that the observer shows up in every episode in a different place, and I was so proud that I spotted him at the audience of American Idol. Was truly a bizarre moment, one of that moments where fantasy and reality clashes in doubt and amazement. Is really cold here in Rio and I’m avoiding the urge to download the rest of the episodes to see them before. I don’t quite like to download TV shows, it’s not because of some ethical thing, I don’t know, my torrent software looks so slow. I like to write when is cold, maybe that’s why there are so many writers in cold places and so many surfers in hot places. Maybe the cold weather helps you become more introspective, lost in inner thoughts and ideas. I would love to have this kind of fluid mind all day long, and write, joining words and ideas, playing with the rhythm of the words and sentences and paragraphs and pages. Just creating mental images of wonders. I have this image of silver skyscrapers raising in the middle of green flourishing gigantic forests. So beautiful…Posted via email from GBOZ.blog at Posterous  | Comment »
